In-N-Out Burger - Fisherman ' s Wharf , San Francisco

Heard soooo much about In-N-Out Burger and how good it was ( even from people who didn't eat beef ? my goodness )
They ( the non beef eaters ) would tell you how they regret not being able to eat there first , then show you the thumbs up sign and declare it's the best burger ...... period .
How ridiculous is that huh ?

And when you ask them where the nearest one was , they'd tell you
" you have to drive there "

Thus while wandering around Fisherman's Wharf , when I came across this outlet , I almost screamed ( inside - laaa ) . Though I was going to try the famous Boudin bread bowl clam chowder afterwards , my tum would have to make extra space for one In-N-Out .

World famous chefs like Anthony Bourdain , Julia Child and even Gordon Ramsay ( who opened the very up , Burgr joint in Planet Hollywood , Las Vegas ) count amongst the legions of enthusiastic In-N-Out fans .

Being my first time , was taken aback by the very retro , diner like decor and uniforms . Also noticed that everything is super sparkling clean even with the huge tide of people waiting patiently to get their burger fix .

Naturally , by now , you're wondering what's the big deal , right ?

They do not use frozen beef but fresh beef to make their patties and breads are made from sponge dough .

Unlike the efficient and fast system at Shake Shack and Chick-fil-A ( voted the number one fast food in the US ) , after placing your order , you really need to wait with the patience of a Saint . If you're standing ( because there's not enough tablespace ! ) , be prepared for your feet to ache .

Tadaaaaaaa....
yeah they serve burgers open this way .

Verdict : I still prefer Shake Shack

What's weird : the toilet is a short walk outside and requires you to punch in a code

Location :  Fisherman's Wharf , San Francisco
