Debenhams - British brand made in ...

It was a late night shopping event advert on the local radio that got to me .
Thus I decided to go snoop a bit in here today before the event proper began . The bargains I found made me end up going through the racks for 3 hours straight !
Phew !
So pleased with my stash which otherwise would have cost me a fortune . The price of which I paid for , one would never be able to get it even at a low priced hypermart .

Restoran Kam Wan - freshest steamed red tilapia I ever had in my life !

We hardly know where to venture just to get a good eat in Ipoh ,
as our tastebuds especially mine , have been completely tuned towards our favourites in the northern region leaning more towards Penang and Kedah . Even then , you may find this surprising but whatever we have tried in Ipoh so far , over the years , mostly we found the majority of recommended places to be highly disagreeable , except for those few places which I have posted up here in this blog .

That's until he brought us here .
Oh mai gawds , so now I know ..... this is where everyone goes to .

Earrings large and small

Been getting dressy again .
As a result , I've dragged my small stash of earrings out to wear . Some  are quirky , some diy-ed , most of them are gypsy like .
Show you two first and will post up whenever ( or if I ever feel like it )

1. Personal favourite of mine is one I diy-ed on my own . I put together one dollar store earring with two dollar store keychain metallic doll shoes . Yanked out the large hoop and inserted the smaller earring in this way .

Jack Daniel's - Old No.7 Fudge

No I haven't gotten rid of my weakness .
Not whiskey but tin containers .

And here's the latest acquisition , hauled in all the way from Berlin's Tegel Airport .

Baumkuchen - German spit cake on firewood

Well here's yet another " new " discovery which is not exactly new because this has been around for a long time already , just that it is new to me . If you have gone on a gourmet spree through Tokyo , you would have probably seen this in a glitzy Ginza mall , churned out in very pristine surrounds .

What I am about to show you next is closely related to kürtőskalács , the Hungarian chimney spit cake . Baumkuchen is also a spit cake , and while they do have modern ovens to do the job , I'm sure there is nothing more magical than watching it being molded into shape over firewood , at a German Christmas Market .
