Sleeping on a bed of feathers - Palace of the Golden Horses

We initially had plans, but the instant we got on the VIP floor, all that went poof ! Plush carpetting, organza curtains, soft lighting, in total privacy with no disturbance. Oh man, this was bliss !

Yep, out the balcony door our plans went .

Instead, we spent the day holed up in here. 

Why ? I'll tell you why.

This bed here is what makes this room just one category below the Minister's Suite. 

Means, you're basically sleeping on a bed of down, feathers, with down duvet covers and down pillows. Omg. Gawd ! Life is good to me !

 

With a sink in don't wanna get up kind of sofa, how on earth were we going to be motivated to get up and walk around Seri Kembangan or the surrounds, I ask you ?

Especially when a coffee table with pony legs stares back at ya in this quirky manner ?

No, impossible. 

Not to be outdone, was a Okimura style office chair next to a workdesk with horse legs. This is so awesome.

 

Marble tabletop with ipod station that doubles up as a remote control device while you're busy working. Gasp away , yes these are no ordinary furnishings although the room may look modest in size .

Maybe it was asking too much but I do wish the tv screen were larger

No complaints over the chiller.

When I'd finally had enough, I put on the cotton kimono

 

And headed to the bath for a soak in the tub. Not featuring the shower but it does come with a sandblasted picture of running horses.

Having stayed in a lower category of room before this, there's not much difference in the horse themed toiletries provided.

But heck, I'm far from complaining because it was such a good stay that we only pulled ourselves away from the boudoir for supper. Yes, it was that comfy, we didn't want to leave ! Ever slept on a bed of feathers before ? I have and lemme tell you it's just wonderful !
