Part of the last temple furthest away from this picture is covered by the road. They have not fully excavated it yet so who knows what else might be uncovered when they do.
On this far end is the Temple Of Juturna, next to it is a circular one dedicated to Fortuna HuiuSce Diei, followed by
the oldest temple devoted to Feronia the goddess of fertility and last of all, the largest temple of the lot....for Lares Permarini
Today, it doubles up as a cat sanctuary run by volunteers.
Visitors are encouraged to pet the many friendly resident cats.However, being a Sunday, the only form of life we saw there, stands on 4 legs.
There have been rumours about an imminent closure but I couldn't check to see if they were closed for good or Sunday only. Anyway, the resourceful felines knew what to do next. Climb out and make the humans work for ya
