Stumbled upon this Capati Stall when I came here looking for pau. The steady stream of customers, got the better of me , thus I ended up ordering one set.
What's so nice about the capati ? For one it's freshly made on the spot, and unlike those hard, rough ones sold at the local indian restaurant, these are very soft. The man who attends to you will recommend that you try eating it with a swipe of margarine . You might be surprised that even though that extra ingredient makes the bread a little more oilier, it also makes it a little more fragrant.
Next , the curry sets that come with it, though small , are quite addictive and not extremely hot.
...the sardine tastes almost like a tiny bowl of Penang fish gulai.
While I dare say that everything here is made with a touch of love, much depends on whether you can see past the run down shop and focus on your food.
Location : Jalan Air Itam
Directions : Head towards Penang Hill, pass an orange petrol station on your left, look out for an Indian Temple on your right, the shop is after the temple at the end of the block of shoplots.
