From what I gather,
"Yalla, yalla, yalla, yalla" roughly means
" Come on, hurry up "
"lai, lai , kia , kia"
" mari, mari, cepat, cepat"
or something to that effect if I'm not wrong.
( Man , I've now progressed to guessing an Arabic
term and translating that into a dialect and 2 languages . Chronic )
However, nobody on board Emirates will ever use this impatient term on us, their beloved passengers, no not even if you're sitting in the humble economy class ....unless of course, a REAL emergency situation warrants it !?!?
Thus, expect to only hear it from moody immigration officers on the ground especially where the x ray scanners are located.
Taking a short spring break. I'll be back !
