You really don't have to wait for the famous Wednesday Pazari,
as there's a cute daily market to be found here, just waiting for you to explore.
There are a few entry points to the mosque behind but this in my opinion is the most picturesque of all.
Making my way up.
Don't you just love it here ?
Both sides uphill are filled with small food stalls and shops selling knick knacks.
The entrance to Fatih Mosque is at this gate just a short way once you turn right
On your left, is where lies this quaint market street which to me , is like a miniature Spice Market.
Except that it's much easier to saunter through without getting squashed midway.
Here, you can find a couple cheese shops with mozarella strips and piles of round blocks.
....as well as a couple of honey shops.
Take a good look.
The are real bees flying around, honey combs in small packs and whole trays.
Amazing or what ?
Compared to the mad crowds squeezing through the Spice Market near Eminonu, I'd say , this area showcases a nice real market with reasonable prices and almost everything you could find at the said market , on a smaller scale, minus the stress
Location : Fatih district
