P&G CNY Treasure Box - unopenable and break prone

These were cutely designed, bright and attractive Nyonya style, tiered plastic tiffin carriers to begin with.
Have seen the exact carrier ( black Nyonya style container for chocolates ) sold in Malaysian airports ,costing an outrageous amount of money  .

Most shoppers got real excited over it and there were even some heated exchanges going on at certain customer service areas that could not honor the free  gift offer over various in store reasons.
Some stores said they'd run out, some said the promo period was during limited periods only .

Those that did get this eventually, got even more upset as the handle was extremely fragile and hard to open . Until P&G Malaysia posted these instructions online over facebook can you imagine ?

Instructions that were at best hopeless, as you can see in the last comment

In the near future , as a consumer , get a feel of the free gift first . Insist on touching it. You have every right to demand for the right to feel a sample and also if it is in stock.
If the plastic is this type , the kind of plastic that can break like glass , reject outright .
Yes , I got one too , the Boy design , and my handle broke on one side ,but since I used vouchers and not cash ,I did not complain . Still like I said before , since the design was quite cute, many people were disappointed . That's ok. Let's learn from our mistakes and not let any company repeat this again. Even if it is free.
Yes why not , mainly because it made some customers even us , buy more than usual .
Bottomline is please companies , choose your suppliers carefully and give us free gifts that are not of such terrible quality , difficult to use , almost worthless entirely , brings down your brand value in our eyes.
Ok ?
