Gou Lou Wantan Mee - Kampung Malabar

Update , May 2016 : the wantan mee has gone down the drain . Wantan dumplings are smaller , noodles not as good. Not recommended .

Fans of Gou Lou Wantan Mee from the former Yi Garden Cafe , you can now heave a sigh of relief. They are still in operation . In fact most of the famous stallowners from that kopitiam have set up stall here....from the Pan Mee & Braised Chicken Feet seller , to the Teochew OhChien also the Oh Mee stall , ya, you can come get your fix here.

Man I love this seller, his wantans put others to shame. They're bigger than dimsums and do not have one ingredient less .

For this portion, prices are still reasonable. Suikau now RM1.50 per piece but they have not compromised or cut back on any ingredient , so to me , I am willing to pay for that.
While you are here you MUST order the kopi. It is so thick and good , aromatic and fragrant, smokey .....you get my drift. Order the kopi C peng kau ( iced local butter roasted coffee with evaporated milk ) If they ask you " Ai liao mai liao" you reply " Ai liao " . Means you want it sweetened.

That was the upside. Now we come to the downer.
Pests can be found everywhere and I really mean everywhere. So you either go in with your eyes shut or skip this altogether.
Another problem is the MPPP officers , thanks to orders from our kind of people with really ugly hairstyles, perched high up in Komtar , they let the other race be the face of everything unpleasant in Penang while our own only do the good stuff, thus sowing more hatred amongst us as part of their big plan to cling on to power in Penang so more developers can rip the island apart.
If you see the Malay officers throw a light clamp under your car especially in this area, instead of lashing out at them,  kindly direct your flowery language-d love letters to our dear Chinese leaders, who gave them orders up from their cocoon Komtar yah ?
