To be frank, we were initially very upbeat about this app. Finally , you don't need to pay a ridiculous RM15-25 just to travel a short distance of 4km on Penang island.
But Penang taxi drivers know exactly what to do when under threat. They register and never deliver what is promised . No action taken. They still continue to fleece us with impunity.
I don't deny that there are a few good ones. And for that maybe you can try and see if you can land yourself a taxi at this flat rate below
However , this will be the setback.
You will get a Normal rate reading at first.
To which you will be told to press Next to Confirm.
Read this customer response. Can you imagine the frascas that is going to erupt if the driver decides not to honour the flatfare rate. After all , we did click even though the app shows a higher rate.
Which brings us to the second problem. No cabs available. If they do accept , they will dish out another pathetic story about
" How do you expect me to feed my kids on RM 5 ? "
or.... " the Malaysian government bla bla bla " or again more toxic racist rants about THAT Race AGAIN .
Today's taxi driver is a most brazen conman.

By now I hope you know why they're a scum regime you should never bow down to .
Walk , cycle , skate , take a bus, hike or crawl on all fours if you have to, any mode of transport will do , but never ever take a cab in Penang.
They will even dishonour promotion prices and apps.
Some have been successful at getting RM5 cabs. But in Penang this is like hitting the jackpot as there are more bad apples than honorable honest ones
