Over the long weekend break , we took a drive to Baling for a therapeutic dip in a hotspring. Here , I share with you a few pictures of the district. More on the roadtrip as well as how to get there later.
Yes , this is not Bali . This is Baling , Malaysia.
Where the limestone hills meet the paddy fields ....
...and horned peaks lay behind picturesque kampung houses....
....where there are no skyscrapers but a mound as a landmark....
...a desolate beauty don't you think ?
A district where little rivers meander lazily...
...with waters enriched by limestone deposits...
....where elephant tusks guard the entrance to a town called Ulu Lenggong...
....and underneath this emerald canopy you can hear the crickets loud and clear.
A quiet reserve to find a little solitude.
One place where sure footed aborigines call home.
A place where the chorus of hills change in appearance with the time of day.
Location : Baling district , Kedah , Malaysia
