To all the hardcore Minion collectors out there , yeah , it's ok. Doesn't matter what others think of you.
Mark these 2 places on your must queue list.
1. Mc Donald's
Personally , I have gone past the stage where I need to get the whole set.
Now , I just target what I want.
Will examine and scrutinise the toy first before deciding.
Ended up with just 3 since I wasn't very pleased with the deteriorating quality.....
Minion Vampire ( super adorable ) , Marching Minion Soldier ( got myself 2 of these ) and the Minion Caveman ( ridiculous outfit but I like it )
Week 1 ..... No problem.
Week 2.....not interested.
Week 3....well the hardcore collectors were waiting just in case you know ....a looonggg line or mayhem starts. Yay, my rambut karat ah beng and ah lian gangs ( I love them all ) were all fidgety before midnight. While another manager ( who obviously had underestimated the size that was going to swell up at his outlet a few km away and thus had to rush here for more boxes of toys ) was clearly showing signs of panic, this lady knew exactly how to handle us craziesssss !
She had a system ... after all , if the line began to snake , this would be a warzone .
Thankfully it didn't . Bear in mind some outlets sell out their toy stocks in under a day.
There is one last week left. Some collectors are swapping , while some are selling. Look for Mc Donald's Malaysia facebook page to find those likeminded ones if you like.
2. TGV Cinemas
Super cute Minion toppers on Minion cups.
Better quality and more expensive but Penangites who patronise the Gurney Paragon outlet do not mind the price tag.
RM 22.90 per combo.
Due to the price tag , the usual ah lians and ah bengs who hog Mc D outlets will be MIA. Instead , oh dear , you might find yourself stuck in front of a drama king family who doesn't want to buy it but the kid wants it and then the meltdown begins . Sheesh.
You still have time to get it this weekend so do it before stocks run out.
Just do it before the movie starts. And bring your earplugs just in case of the above situation.
What did I tell you. Better finishing and details.
