Soi Cowboy - mobile bars, bargirls, barboys, kwaichais and kwailohs

When you come out of Asoke BTS station at night, walk towards Exchange Tower. The direction is up on the signboard as you
come down the stairs after stepping out of the train.
Done that ?
Now , look down from the Skywalk and head down this way towards the street below.

Those are not just any hawker stalls. Instead, they are mobile bars complete with bargirls ( and ladyboys) , tables and chairs...even barstools .
By the side of some stalls are soft drink bottles with straws sticking out from them . If you see this, please don't drink from that, this is a supernatural belief which they do to feed the kwaichai ( little baby ghosts ) in hope that they will pull in the customers for them.

In some cases there are even barmen waiting to fix you something....yeah, something like the one with the converted vehicle below

Let's see that from another angle.
Some of the girls are so skimpily dressed ( these are considered quite decent already ) and from what I saw, there were a lot of lonely men looking for some drinking companions out here.

The instant you turn into Soi Cowboy, you realise that this is where anything goes .

Soi Cowboy is one of the settings where they filmed Hangover 2 as well as that Nicholas Cage flick Bangkok Dangerous.

Bargirls situated at back to the centre of this short street will be dressed in tiny bikini
uniforms. When the girls spot single good looking farang men , they are hands on in showering them with a lot of attention here .
Say, you're with your man in here. Hold onto him so they know he is yours. Still, that will not stop them from calling out to him. It's business as usual to them.

Yeah, we walked in from the back entrance of Soi Cowboy.
By the time we got to the front where you can see Terminal 21 directly across the street, if you are a woman, men, whom I presume are um, barboys  ? will wave at you from the bars.
Yes, there were a few groups of farang women drinking here .

Anyway, we're back out on Sukhumvit Road again , just outside the Asoke BTS station where the night has only just began for these girlfriend type  of bargirls , where it may seem quieter but for the heavy smell of hard liquor permeating  the warm night air, reminding one that the wild, crazy and rowdy Soi Cowboy is just round the corner waiting to consume you.
