The picture on the banners and website looked so attractive . People marked the dates on their calendars in order to not miss out on this.
However there are a lot of flaws on this VERY low quality made toy truck.
First of all the box , the box good gawd , kindly learn from the last main distributor on the business of freebies in Malaysia (which used to be Fraser & Neave ) before this parent company took over.
I have a bone to pick with the box material. It creases and folds easily . Must be made of biodegradeble stuff which means extra care must be taken if you want to retain the toy in packaging .
I give this 5 years before our humid weather fades out the colour , strips out the film on the corners with bubbles and moisture permeating through the layers of cardboard. Also , when bruised or dented , there is that annoying white colour peeking out.
Grrrrr.
Though the head is much better than the horrible body, am sure they can come up with something better than this .
Yeah , head of the truck is made from metal . Tardy paintjob.
Wobbly plastic wheels . The cheapest wheels on the planet.
If this were a real truck , it would reenact the recent plane collapse at Changi airport incident.
Geez. I keep telling myself this premium doesn't cost very much but I am peeved at the amount of rubbish premiums ( eg. that horrible ceramic plate collection which I don't even want ) , yeah rubbish premiums which are not suitable for collection purposes nor play or practical usage.
Come on , we know it's free. But learn from your predecessors who did a marvellous job at marketing the brand before you took it back.
Top view of the body.
Terrible. Where did they get this from ?
Whoever their premium recommendor is , you need to stop consulting them.
We , your customers, are absolutely not ok with this .
Side view of the body.
It may look alright in photos but I can assure you that whoever slapped on the stickers did a sloppy job of it . There is a crease on the other side and a sticker of such horrendously cheap material will start peeling in no time .
Change your attitude towards free gifts please. Or reappoint those with the expertise in this region .
Just because it is a free gift doesn't mean it should really look the part .
With the right people , not even a boycott can put a damper on your year end target.
You wouldn't even need to resort to the $1 promo . Look , even EST from Thailand is beginning to make inroads . Hope that gives you an indication of how you are misreading us Malaysians in general.
And be very aware that good quality free premiums, can singlehandedly spark a mania that will push your sales through the roof .
