If you compare both the pictures above and below , I know me.That screw top jar, shall soon see my fingers twisting it open with a valid reason why I need to spend spend spend it ASAP .
Thus , for those who are just as spendthrift as me, the metal can , above , is probably the best solution , as it can only be opened with a can opener .
This is the original plan . However , I know I might probably want to spend more towards the year end .
That's why I'm gonna use the backward method .
This blogger is a godsend for those who might think it is impossible to save .
He not only sets a target , he also estimates the final total , which should pretty much inspire a lot of people .
For those paid every fortnight , there's even a two weeks once challenge....
...even monthly .
Just follow his chart .
When another respondent glumly told him that they relied on welfare cheques , therefore it was impossible to set aside savings , he says if one can put aside
50 sen per week , then you will have
$689 by the end of the challenge .
Not bad huh ?
Still think it is a tall order because you're either a student or have a large family or commitments to take care of ?
Even 25 sen set aside weekly can fetch you $344.50 yearly . Handy for settling bills or as a treat .
Try it. I'm doing it.
Stuffing $52 in with no way out till the end of the challenge .
You may opt to increase the number of cans or even increase the kitty amount but please make sure you print out those charts from the template provided on the link below or just draw columns ,fill in targetted savings amount , stick it on the bottom of the can and tick once the money has gone in .
Here's the link .
