Seriously , I don't know why some people think fastfood joints are beneath them .
When you're in the USA don't skip this man . After all , you are in the cradle that brought fastfood civilization worldwide , so before you go book a swanky meal in Michelin star restaurant where it's so hard to breathe , do the good old American sloppy burgers first !
You know , the places where you eat holding it with your bare hands ?Instead of cutting it up daintily with a shiny silver knife , you know ?
KFC ( seems the Americans prefer Colonel Sanders to KFC but I didn't see none , KFC yes , Colonel Sanders nope ) and Mc D's are shockingly all passe but these 3 giants I've covered so far are all the rage ....
They are totally relevant and in demand today , Right Now .
So while Shake Shack has its roots in NYC and In-N-Out is firmly entrenched on the West Coast , Chick-fil-A was born in Atlanta . And yet it is so wildly popular , right smack in the middle of NYC , you'd never have guessed it !
( they're ranked the number 1 fastfood joint in America so errrr...you'd better believe it )
Anyway , you'll never see an endless line such as this at those 2 places I just mentioned .
Not to say that this place , is much cheaper , it's not , however as you can see for yourself , fans and rookies like me can't get enough of it .
Similar situation to Shake Shack .
They deal with the huge crowd by passing out the menu first while you're still in line , then you place your order , attached with your name , pay up and wait .
Now here's where it gets funny .
Compared to Shake Shack where the girls literally yell your name out ,
you blur sotong you ....
you have to keep it down amidst all the din once you start waiting for them to call you because there is a Burger Whisperer in da house alright .
On the day I was there , they put the guy with the most fragile vocal chords in charge .
Even if he tried to yell , it came out as a whisper so
SSSSSHHHHH!!!!!
PIPE DOWN FOLKS OR YOU WON'T GET YOUR ORDER !
Is this a joke ? It must be I guess.
Not funny then ( my ears grew in diameters straining to not miss him calling me ) but so funny now when I look back .
What does the chicken burger taste like ?
I didn't take the grilled one but settled for the deep fried one .
My opinion : A very much larger , just cooked , saltier , more delicious KFC ...lol.
Meat was very tender , so succulent , juicy and so mouthwatering , I chucked the bread and ate up the thick piece of meat .
Why waste time ?
Location : Avenue of the Americas ....there are 2 outlets alone around 10 or more streets apart on this Avenue but I ate at 46th on 6th , so if you wanna hear the Burger Whisperer in action , please come to this joint .
