Little Italy Pizza - near the Empire State Tower

Other than burgers and more burgers , I also attempted 3 New York style pizza places .
One in the middle of Nevada called Villa , a franchise outlet from NYC ( a huge , awful , obviously deep frozen crusted , horribly salty pizza )  ,
Famous Famiglia for Strombolli ( show you later , meh only but you ought to see the famous clients they've catered to ) and
last of all Little Italy Pizza .

It's rather easy to find this pizza place .
Just look for the Empire State Tower .

That iconic Big Apple building where King Kong likes to swing from when he's starring in yet another Hollywood flick about him ....

...cross the road , over on this corner , then turn towards your left ....

....and there .
You've found it .

Is the pizza great ?
Tasty yes , with a nice crust and yummy cheeses ....but exceptionally good ?

Well , it was quite yummy , if not for the tomato base ( as nothing beats those served in Italy itself )

Like I said , I love the cheese mmmm mmmm .....the mozarella was so scrumptiously mouthwatering ( I think the waiter said there was parmigiano too but I can't recall for sure ) , crust is springy on the inside , with a firm crunch on the outside plus an overall fragrant fresh breaded aroma to it , tomato base is the usual stuff nothing special , basil lent a delightfully sharp touch .....guess you'll have to ask celebrity tv chef , Rachel Ray herself , whose picture hangs on the wall .

Of course I did think about queueing up for her show as well but when I checked out the super strict requirements , I turned the other cheek and took a long shot at both the Saturday Night Live taping ( Drake was performing that night and apparently people had camped 3 days just for standby tickets ) and The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon .
Was last in line at SNL but 3rd in line Jimmy Fallon's and if you've been reading my rambling posts , you'll know I got to see Jimmy Fallon in action himself ( yes ! )

Location : 2 E , 33rd Street
 ( on 5th Avenue )
