Kit Kat - tall wafer tin

Remember the small flat tin from a few weeks back ? Well, Nestle must have sold tons of those chocolates, because how else can you explain the existence of this a big tall tin now ?

Me, I'm thinking that this, by now, is probably an indication of an all out Christmas battle, some kind of consumer war. Fantastic for us shoppers because these chocolate sets are anytime cheaper than those sold at inflated prices at certain local airports !Well, maybe not all are overpriced. Just in some places which I'm not naming .

Kit Kat - 12 pack wafer tin

My jaw dropped when I spotted these latest Kit Kat tin boxes sitting pretty on the supermarket shelves.

Such a bummer that I have a weakness for tin boxes and thus could not walk away without taking at least one out of the 3 designs home with me.

Clearly the most eye catching of the lot is this tin box with

paisley prints.

At first I thought I had to get the large pack which costs around RM20 , but luckily the promoter was around and she informed this misguided muah as to the correct purchase requirement.

If not for SPAllan, I probably wouldn't have known that this premium existed, especially since some supermarkets have the bad, annoying habit of removing packed premiums for reasons best known to them. Anyway I'm a real sucker for metal trays. Once I see it, I just gotta have it.

 Since stumbling upon the mini Dutch Lady UHT keychains, I've been keeping an eye open for more such finds at the local petrol mart.

 

 

Of the 2 designs, the one on top, with the lady seemed to have been snapped up faster. Think it's partly because most customers thought that, it was the only design available.
