Sri Ananda Bahwan- Tanjung Bungah ( PF )

Nobody else is as successful on this row.

Many restaurants have come and gone but Sri Ananda remains the one, that draws a wonderful mix of local and international customers, both day and night,to enjoy a cheap Indian meal in a tropical beach hut garden like atmosphere.

I really like their ghee tosai.

No doubt it's a little oily, but it's kueh kapek crispy, fragrant, comes with 4 different dips and is large enough to be shared by two.

A cold cup of iced lime does wonders to perk up a warm night.

Usually I ask for the green tandoori chicken that tastes better than it sounds.
Somehow,I got an itch and we ended up with Rogan Josh ,a dish that tasted like black peppered lamb immersed in a ton of sweet chutney sauce.
According to the waiter, this is made on the spot and only upon special request.

Though I kinda liked this and found the mutton to be very tasty, nutty with lots of pounded pepper seeds, not to mention quite tender....the others did not concur and left it entirely to me.

Wouldn't exactly say that it's real value for money since there isn't much meat once you take away all that sauce.
