Update Jan 2017 : we just found out that this original famous Hokkien Mee stall has shifted to the Tg Bungah wetmarket foodcourt . Best to go and get your fix early in the morning .
The stall inside this kopitiam is no longer the same operator .

Original post from 2012 :
While a lot of people swear that this is one of the best Hokkien mee stalls on the island today, so far, it hasn't managed to lure out of state visitors to make a beeline here.... yet.

We placed our order with one of the two sisters and sat right at the back.
A small bowl costs $3, but don't expect much.
The portion is small, with a little bit of this and a tiny piece of that.
What makes it a raving hit, is the stock (think it contains dried chilly as well as dried har mai ) and the sambal which you have to mix into the soup.
Big bowl = $3.50
Still won't be enough for big eaters, let me warn you first.
Extra side dish of siew yok, packed from the Tg Bungah wet market = $5
The best time to come would be around 8.30 for you to understand just why some Penangites rave so much about this place.
Reason : the stock flavour would have fully developed and be at its peak then
Location : Kedai Kopi Sin Lee Hin
Directions : Tesco Tg Pinang on your right, pass one traffic light, then an overhead pedestrian bridge. Pass another 3 traffic lights. When you are approaching the 4th traffic light, keep left. Turn left immediately into the road on the left after the traffic light. The shop is on your right below a block of apartments.
Chowtime : 7am till around 11.30am
