Kham Kee Beef Steamboat - part 2 ( NH )

Kham Khee is not your typical chinese beef steamboat place.
In fact, although the cuts which they use, are of higher quality, compared to other places, they're not one to sacrifice, good old fashioned tendons and fats .

As you can see, from this table, Kham Kee's regular customers, are all hale, hearty, blessed with amazing appetite and longevity.

We settled for the RM$ 80 steamboat set.
That's the minimum order, mind you.

Inside this cauldron is a ton of neverending bits of everything ( tendon, stomach, meat, beef balls ), to delight big eaters.
Real value for money this.

Some interesting facts about their location is, this area used to house a lot of Aussie airforce families from the 60s to the 70s.
Because the houses have hardly changed from back then, it's a great opportunity for you to relive the moment from this angle.

Directions : Tesco Tg Pinang on your right, pass a pedestrian bridge, then a tyre shop on your left. Turn left into the road. Go straight and look out for a double storey house on the right, with many lanterns ( see picture below )

Location : Jalan Gajah

Chowtime : night

Contact : 016 4505805/ 016 4823695 ( Hak ) /017 4799223 ( Khai ) Best to call ahead to book. Besides Beef, they also offer Tomyam and Seafood sets.

Miscellanous remarks : the interior is quite worn out and the family pet roams about. Don't say I didn't warn you.
