(NH ) Beggars can't be choosers - Tong Sui Kai, Ipoh

We arrived late, 10.30 pm to be exact, not knowing whether the porridge stall would be open or not.
It was, still open for business that is, but the menu was incredibly limited.

My supper...miserably sad, empty, bowl of porridge with one portion of crunchy intestines. They'd even run out of minced meat. And no, you can't get another portion of intestines, because she wants to sell more bowls of nothingness.
Really lament the fact that Malaysian hawkers have the heart to reduce us to such pathetic scumbags .

The gloomy atmosphere was further compounded by an ultra grumpy tongsui lady server, who bitched aloud about why no one wanted to clear the tables.
She'd run out of bubur chacha and hongtau sar. We had to settle for the tan char, which is basically like leng chi kang.

Refrained from snapping her moody tongsui.

Times like these, makes me wanna kick myself for coming all the way here .
Still, I kind of like this street as it's quietly melacholic yet occasionally alive with peddlers and various interesting characters only this part of town can conjure .
Oh well....
