I've had Paldo Black in South Korea itself before , now that was hot . In fact I thought Paldo Black ( you cannot compare what is sold in Korea to those sold in Malaysia ), was the single most hottest instant noodles I've ever had in my life .....until I picked this up from a local Thai stall .
Dear gawds , it is not only hot , when you start cooking it , please try not to stay too close to the pot or your nostril opening will be seared .
You WILL cough ok ? It's that hot . Insects stupid enough to pass by will faint , leaves will shrivel up just from the steam alone .
On the other hand , this nasty effect could warrant a cookout when you want to get rid of critters far and near from spoiling your picnic. I'm pretty sure even the ants will flee !
Now , once you start eating it , prepare for the outside of your mouth to start throbbing till you will end up having very full and sexy red swollen puckers .
Why do I label this as evil ?
Because it is so darned addictive .
Damn .
You want to stop slurping yet you can't seem to put it away . You run off to take a sip of water to cool down your tongue but that only worsens it and makes you run on the spot in circles trying to fan your mouth ! Yes any form of liquid you ingest just worsens the burning effect .
Very tasty but such a horrible torture , and yet it turns out to be something you cannot get enough of .
It turns you half mad , torn between wanting to give up and put the bowl and chopsticks away , yet wanting to go on , then questioning your very existence , and wondering in the same breathe whether it will incinerate your insides .
Even if you do not want to eat it but cook it for someone else , your saliva will begin thickening and curdling as you watch the person contort his or her face in agony yet soldier on and strive to get to the finish line because it's sooooo darned goooood , there's no denying it .
Verdict : the hottest yet most addictive instant noodles I have had to date .
