Jade Buddha tour - Penang Times Square

You have until this Sunday to come and see this in Penang

Crafted from an 18 tonne Canadian jade boulder by Chiang Rai and Nepalese artisans, and consecrated by the Dalai Lama in Sydney, it's one hefty globe trotter with plenty of airmiles !

On duty, are a couple of very tanned but very handsome Tibetan purple robed monks  .

There's even a jaw dropping holy Mandala prayer wheel inside one of the tent partitions. Make sure you don't miss this intricate spectacle !

In the same room, is this gong.
Anything look familiar to you ?

This is the Buddhist relic section.... a first time for me

When we left, the young monk was still personally chanting away , standing up, stupa in hand... for all those who came before him . Respect !

For a small donation ( out of our own free will ) we picked out some pamphlets , a photo of a Lama and Tibetan mantra cards to take home.

Location : Penang Times Square, open air carpark.
