Gurney Drive Jam-topia

On the 27th of July, at the stroke of midnight,the foremostest fun band of advocates for change you have ever come across, unveiled the most imaginative traffic flow system anyone in the whole world has ever conceptualised , for the betterment of Penang island . 

This is the first example of how Penangites will respond, with regards to parking space,especially when you tell them they can't park at a certain place no more.
Up yours, yah ?

Yep, you heard it correct. Many of the old parking spaces have been blacked out. The old ones now run parellel to the road. Many parked illegally because they've heard the horror stories about the world's greatest carpark at oh-come-on-you-should-know-where.

This was the chaos coming out of Gurney Paragon Mall.
Nice way to relax ya ? Whose clever idea was this again ?
A quick check with the smart MP, shows that the person is quick to make the MPPP take credit for this fiasco.

Half of the drivers defied the 'correct' direction ( which is to head gobsmack past G hotel)  and turned the other way straight into our path.
Don't get me wrong,I'm not complaining about the drivers.
The people here are like that here. Just that people who don't live here long enough can't seem to accept that !
 Force change, and the people will retaliate !

In case you don't know, they've changed the traffic flow in not just one but TWENTY wonderful routes. Basically what this means, is technically, it's easier to go to town, impossible to get home. But as you can see from the pictures above, the proof is in the pudding.
 This road is just next to Gurney Hotel. No left turn allowed now, leading many on a wild goose chase to find an alternative route upwards.

I can see some office shutters being rattled , with phones spewing toxic 'banter' off the hook from Monday onwards.
In the meantime,  find some entertainment out of this intelligent feat of human engineering, route map.

If you want to send some love to them, make sure you keep it positive lest you be labelled a BN fag, since nobody but politicians from both divides, are the only people blessed with intellect, foresight and brain fart .
