Accidents can happen at anytime.
The attendant was not even inside the booth yet he still got hit and suffered from a broken leg when the car made an S turn, after smashing into the booth.
Just so happens that this area is next to some watering holes nearby
So my guess is either the driver lost control or was intoxicated and couldn't see straight
