Like russian roulette

Before the week was out , I came across 2 accidents involving Honda cars .

One on the bridge ( 3 car pile up pictured below ) , the other ...a 4 wheel ( not a scratch on the 4wd ) on Gurney Drive .

In both cases , I think the engines were affected .

Although the cars were probably going to be out of action for sometime , some would consider the drivers to be lucky .

Why ?

Engine is a write off

Kancil drivers still drive as if it were a compact ferrari.

It just takes one miscalculation to end up like this stomach churning mangle of a wreck .

I'm not saying the driver is at fault. The other day, we came across a maniac who drove headon in our direction from the opposite side of the winding Batu Feringghi road. This could happen to anyone you know with so many speed fiends on the road today. 

Hope the driver is ok. That's all I can do.

Accidents can happen at anytime.

The attendant was not even inside the booth yet he still got hit and suffered from a broken leg when the car made an S turn, after smashing into the booth.

Just so happens that this area is next to some watering holes nearby

If you believe what's being said on the net, then you'll never believe what I saw just outside the Dolhambace Palace.

The lady driver in the grey sedan and the truck driver, are both coming down from the hill. They take the corner and wham, small scratch I think, nothing serious.

She comes to a complete stop.

 

When a gas tanker skids ...

 

 

Ever wondered what happens, when a gas tanker skids ?

Well, you'll need 2 large towtrucks, 2 cranes, 3 fire engines, one ambulance and plenty of expressway personnel , ready on standy.

 

From the skid marks, my guess is the tanker veered over from the opposite side of the road. No idea if anyone got hurt. Needless to say, because it looked as if the transformers had rolled in, this whole stretch slowed down to a one hour crawl.

Aunty Vios crashes into Bomba Truck !!

At first , I thought the men were there to help put out a fire. I mean, there've been so many cases of vehicles suddenly bursting into flames ( why ah ?)  nowadays so it's nothing unusual.

But when I got closer ( busy body mah ) omg....the aunties car actually slammed into the huge fire engine !
 Bonnet up, engine kaput.......fuh....
Also, look at the billboard advertisement. Really ironic picture this.

Soon enough, every busybody in sight, gathers round for a closer look while the Bomba officer photographs the evidence

Kancil damaged, lamp post intact

At around 7 pm today,at the beginning of Waterfall Road, traffic started building up.

School ? No, school. Today's the Jade Emperor's Birthday, hence all Chinese schools in Penang have taken a day off to honour him.

 Roadblock ? Nope

 What else can it be but an accident.

True enough...

 Adoi...

Gosh I hope no one's hurt.

All four drivers were male. 

 

Driver brings down streetlamp

Last night a crazy driver weaved in and out of traffic at top speed, as though he were driving a kapchai.

I don't know if it was the same driver, I'm just assuming it is, but further down Jalan Masjid Negeri (approaching Mc Donalds Greenlane ), traffic started building up
