How clever of us to just go and line up for this little activity .
Nobody told us that there would be no instructions in English. Yeah, I know, you're in Japan but geez imagine if the rest of the crews life had depended on the two of us getting it right.
Shake head.
From beginning to the end. The briefing and safety procedures were totally lost on us.
And when onboard, everyone starting chanting a rhythmic paddling motivational one liner in Japanese. We were the only ones that stayed mute.
Not proud of that. Not at all
Such a relief for that to be over and done with.
Half of our bums got splashed wet by a small enthusiastic little girl who wouldn't stop paddling for the life of her.
Somehow I survived ! The canoe didn't get stuck , we didn't drown , the boat never capsized and I didn't embarass our country ! Lolz.
Time to make our way out and wait for the unique Unisys light parade
