3 important traveller apps for destination Istanbul

So let's just say you wanna go to Istanbul but don't wanna go on a full tour because by Day 4 , you're so tired of living in and out of your suitcase , sitting on the coach for so long till you can't feel your ass no more and when you do get up, you feel like a living zombie....it's time to go FIT ( free individual traveller ) my friend.
The hotels you stay in may have lesser stars but at least you will hop back on the plane without the middle part of your tour programme forgotten ( which part of the country was I at again ? ) due to being over stressed and over herded to the point of developing a mental block leading to temporary amnesia. Now, if you're ready to take that first big step forward and DIY your own trip, you'll wanna download this first app.

1.
Discover Istanbul from Turkish Airlines.

Reason .
600 minutes of free wifi once you register your roaming network on Avea.

The drill , for those who are interested .

There's also a Map filled with Pins , which if you click on with your finger, reveals the names of tourist attractions , hotels , as well as  hotspots.
Best part is, you don't need internet connection to zoom in and out. Haven't tried it myself, but it sure looks one heck of a promising.

Transport section gives simple instructions on how to get from one place to the other using Public Transport. Invaluable if you are staying in a hotel where the staff only speaks Turkish.
The Discover section is quite comprehensive.
Example : Click on Attractions and this scrollable list appears.

Click on one and and walla !
Who needs a tourist guide anymore ?

2.
Tripadvisor .
Under Download City.
Once you download this app, you are set . Again, you do not need wifi or internet connection to access this app .
Hundreds of hotels and tourist attractions .
Thousands of dining options.
The best part is the map. An entire city map for you explore.
The only time you'll need server access is if you want to use the Forum, Holiday Rental and Write A Review section.

3.
Which brings us to the Third and final app for today.
The language app. Now everybody can almost speak Turkish.

See, even if you're  too lazy to learn,Draw on a piece of paper  or use sign language, just let your gadget do the talking.
For real.

Isn't life just so awesome ?
