Fiumicino aka Leonardo da Vinci Airport

My first time at Fiumicino Airport . Last time I came in via land from the direction of Monaco.

 Before we begin our journey let's make that first all important pit stop on Italian soil.

Ok set, now we learn a little Italian.
Transiti = Transit
Uscita = Exit
Ritiro Bagagli = Baggage Claim
Easy actually, when they speak to you , you just have to listen very carefully as there's a lot of English sounding words in the language. Up to you after that to piece the bits and pieces together and try to make sense of it .

Turns out they too have an aerotrain system here, so just like back home, hop on inside and it'll take us to baggage claim

All onboard.
I like to sit at the corner.

Looks like Sepang but is not Sepang

Unlike KLIA, there's someone here to completely clear the train of passengers

Just follow the crowd. Down we go

Omg, will you look at the queue ? Shouldn't take long right ?

Wrong.
Compared to the zippy speedy line for EU residents, it took forever and shuffled along at snail's pace.
The good thing is, there's internet connection over here.

By the time we came out, it wasn't hard to spot our bags.

Location : Fiumicino Airport, Italy
