At one point, the fishmonger made all passerbys roar with laughter when he started waving the fish at the bird and asked for
" one lira, one lira, one lira "

The bird can't seem to take it's eyes off him.
Either he's feeding it or his fish is really up to their standard of freshness
Ok, I think one creature stalking him is bad enough, better make my move
