Sinop Balik Evi

On my last trip I tried deep fried anchovies near the Spice Market , this time I'm having them grilled and they're definitely more delicious especially with Muammer Usta in the kitchen.

Have been here before and there's a marked difference now.
If before, everyone ate on dirt road and gravel, today, the adjoining competitor has done up his restaurant's flooring as well as decor.

A shame really , as this stall is the only one that has not done any upgrading, but the view across is no less outstanding.
There was only one table occupied by these teens. The adults preferred prettily decorated tables with flowers and all the frills. You can say this stall being the most basic of the row got sidelined mostly by the female diners. The men would head here and the women would lead them away. Perhaps the owner should upgrade to compete with the rest as his recipe and marination is really good.

When the food arrived, some unexpected guests started walking in. Like this seagull for instance....

.....and the local cats too

Were they after this fish sandwich ?

Not so much my mouthwatering dish either, but they were targetting a type of Mackerel the teens were having.

Location :  next to the fish market by the Bosphorus Straits, in Beyoglu
