Buffet breakfast at Village Court - weekday vs weekend

Saturday morning, and the crowd of weekend holidaymakers, convention and teambuilding participants had still not descended and wrecked havoc onto this small dining space . Thus we were still able to enjoy breakfast at a most leisurely pace.
By Sunday, however, given the proximity of the resort to Kuala Lumpur, it was near madness. People were stuffing themselves silly, there simply wasn't enough table space nor cutleries,  till one had to proceed towards the second level.Even the coffee machines went haywire for a short bit, but by  10 a.m. , all was calm once again.

How much does a buffet breakfast here cost ? At a roadside shack, up to ten times less. Due to past experience, I came in thinking that the food would be horrendous ....bottomline is why'd we end up here ?

Simple, our room had breakfast included.
Showed them 2 of these and they brought us straight to our table. Surprisingly the quality and taste has seen a vast improvement , which made dining here, all the more pleasant . Except on Sunday.

Ok, let's see the layout now.
Fruits, salads and  juices are nearest to the entrance

Nasi lemak, chicken curry, rice porridge, fried mee, sausage, hams and other mains can be gotten from this end.
That man in cap ....superb . Always smiling at the guests.
The Sunday diners are so hungry, they wipe everything out , as if with a vengeance.

Muffins, cakes, pastries over here.
Didn't sample any as I was more keen on the local dishes. Both days , I still did not check it out.

One touch coffee machine lay all the way at the end.
Both units acted up on our last morning , a weekend, but worked fine during the weekday when there were less guests.

Right behind the coffee machine is the egg and bread counter. One chef flips roti canai , while the other is in charge of the eggs. Keyword : queue.
You'll wanna ditch the electric toaster for this charcoal grill. Bread slices taste much better when using this old kopitiam method. You must try this at least once.

May seem like an odd version , but to me, this combo complimented one another .
Crisp toast and fish curry. Better than with the usual kaya, which is a coconut jam.

Foodwise is a little bit inconsistent. Especially when there is a big crowd and they need to refill the bins fast.
My nasi lemak on the 2nd morning for example, wasn't as good as the 1st . Maybe it has to do with the chicken curry , since the day before they served a dry rendang chicken version which was exceptionally fragrant.

Sadly, the omelette was not to my liking on the 1st morning but much better on the 2nd . Hash browns in this country...hah...I have yet to have a good one till today.
British style breakfast tomatoes were not bad either.

Conclusion : mixed bag of marbles . More pleasant on a weekday.
