Peacocks roam freely at Avillion

How cool is waking up to a peacock perched on your balcony ?

The resort welcomed 7 hatchlings from 2 peahens in June 2014 and though they're used to humans, the males are a bit paranoid about you trying to touch their tail for obvious reasons.
The peahens on the other hand love to eat food from human hands during the resorts Petfarm activity.

If you're lucky, you'll get to see how the peacock acts when he's in the mood for some loving. More on that in another post . Coming up soon after this.

When there's nobody by this area, these 3 peahens will come round trying to find some leftovers on the ground.
They're really shy. Try and spot them if you can.

See what I mean ? Always together.

Groupies waiting for a feed.
Seem to be perpetually hungry. I mean I would be too if I constantly have to deal with male flashers and touchy feely humans right ?

Ahah....What have we here ? Somebody's very busy trying to find some grub to eat. Too much human food at the buffet earlier, time for a detox .

This jungle fringe seems to be his territory.
So long as you don't get too near, it won't turn and hide.

Most kids and adults knew how to keep a respectful distance , so as not to frighten the birds away.
That's another wonderful part about this resort. The fact that they are not caged and allowed to roam about freely makes it one of the most awesomely amazing experience you will never forget.
