Caklempong by the Wakaf

Aaand we finally close the door on my stay at the Avillion. Phewwww !

I will miss running my fingers across these stained glass windows

And daydreaming about how life would have been for such seafarers back then

We make our way to the lobby where check out is swift and easy.
This Japanese boy seems to like showing me his colourful kite lol thus I oblige and when I start snapping , he swishes it about proudly

But the car is parked across and while waiting , I notice this troupe of musicians over by the wakaf. The melodies they play are soft and soothing

We had so much fun and so little time that we missed out on this musical activity which is free for you to join if you are a staying guest at the Avillion PD.
This here is the Caklempong . Brought in by the Minangkabaus during the 14th century , today , the presence of many gamelan troupes in local universities has given it a fresh life and found eager fans amongst young ladies especially

Every one is welcome to join in regardless of race or gender actually.
Beat the gong , bang the tambourine and strike the Caklempong like you mean it lol

Do join in and try this cultural instrument (which has it's roots from Sumatra ) out when you are here as the musicians are absolutely sporting and fun people

Goodbye Avillion, that was fun to watch.
Nice touch btw

Location : Avillion Port Dickson
