Megabangna - massive as an airfield

Megabangna is not on most tourist brochures but it sure as hell is on your BTS map. Find Udom Sok BTS and you will definitely see the free shuttle remark.
Locating this shuttle is the hard part, when you come down from the BTS go to where the bus stop is and wait till you see this bus. You may take other buses but those will cost you, still keep that travel mode open as an alternative option
just in case the bus is packed full.

Initially I presumed that the complex was just round the corner but omg, there was a time when I started to sweat a little seeing how the distance from Udom Sok to Megabangna is like going from KL to Subang Jaya or Gurney Plaza to Queensbay Mall. I may be exaggerating but it sure felt far ! Anyway, here we are . If the layout reminds you of Ikano that's because they are here too on a jv venture with the Thais. Think to the scale of a small airfield, covered up and converted into a shopping mall.

Massive , massive , massive !
I don't even know where to begin. There is enough parking space for 9000 cars ! Was so overwhelmed I hardly took pictures. We were filled with regret since this was our last night. You probably need to dedicate a whole day here to see everything.WHY DIDN'T WE COME HERE EARLIER ?

There's Mega cinemas, Sub Zero ice skating rink,  IKEA omg, Big C, Home Pro, Robinson, sooooo many exits and sooooo many nooks and wings , an atrium that looks like a valet parking in a casino ( with so many sports cars fitted in there at the time it was obscene ! ) we hailed this shuttle service because by the time we whizzed through to the other end and realised we needed to get back allllllllllllll the wayyyyyy to the other side for our shuttle back to the BTS, our feet just wanted to break into half !
" Ser - torp ! Ser - torp ! " he yelled frantically when I pointed out this buggy. Lolz. So glad we could rest our poor feet !

Unfortunately, we could not spend as much time as we wanted,  seeing how the last shuttle out was at 11:30 pm while the last BTS was at midnight. Not enough time.  We left at around 10:30 pm.
Just remember to get your shuttle where you were first dropped off because although there are 2 pick up points,by the time the bus reaches the second one , there will be no more seats.
