Sun May Hiong

Sun May Hiong is located in a nondescript shoplot.
They are reknowned for their pork satay which leans more towards a petite Pinchos Morunos, infused with lemongrass and turmeric . Small slivers of fat wedged between the lean give rise to a heavenly experience that get you hooked . Startlingly salty as opposed to the usual sweet satays , there is an aromatic smokey bbq flavour that will keep you coming back for more.

Of the entire row, the shop was filled to the brim. Clearly the patrons inside were enjoying themselves .

And because it is my first visit, I leave with pictures of this small Chinese satay man, which reminds me of a scene from old Katong in Singapore. Today, that place where a grandaunt used to live is no more. Spanking shopping centres in its wake.

On the other side , this lady fans the embers the  good old fashioned way too .Charcoal and kipas worn with a frown.
Two grill experts are needed to keep up with the demand.
Lovely.

Location : Kota Laksamana , Malacca
