This hearty wholesome fragrant rice meal below, accompanied by 3 vegies, 2 types of chicken in saucers , mutton curry in a saucer, plus one deep fried fish .....it is best eaten with fingers. Without forks and spoons . Not to say we did not want them, we did try to request for them but those very aloof servers were up to their tricks again and we were forced to use our hands.
Anyway, last time, our overall set meals did not cost THAT much.
Now however, I feel that the prices are getting a bit exorbitant.
Not sure if they raised the prices since I'm not a regular, but my goodness, when we get slapped with GST in this kind of place, life just kinda of feels like it sucks. It's not so fun nor cheap eating out like before.
The amount may be minimal, but we really feel " bo song " you know ?
I didn't complain. Just stared at the bill and shook my head.
The same cannot be said of other diners. Elsewhere , Kayu Nasi Kandar in Bayan Lepas made facebook news for slapping customers with RM2 for extra curry.
After comparing the bill of the complainant at Kayu with ours at Veloo's , and finding that both totals are almost the same, I think we better start looking elsewhere for our banana leaf rice fix because it is definitely getting way too expensive .
