Garfield On The Go - 5 reasons why you should go and get those 20 Guardian stamps

Update 10/1/2016 :
Don't bother looking for this bag on Penang island or the mainland . It is sold out !  You may try bugging the outlet staff for the display unit , but some might not sell it to you. Also , you may have to register in order to buy this , so don't waste anymore time . Put your name and contact details in folks .

Earlier post :

If you take into account the amount you have to spend just to collect the 20 required stamps . That's a minimum of MYR 400 . Fuuu.....plus the extra MYR 129 you have to top up just to purchase this bag , once you calculate the outlay , which is a minimum of MYR 529 , just to get this rather small handcarry ...hey , it seems like this is not going to be worth your time and effort .

At that cost , you might as well buy this from luggage shops or better still go on a budget holiday to Langkawi and still have enough left to buy a nice luggage bag, right ?

Ah , not really .

Here are 5 ways on how you can motivate yourself to overcome the tedious task of accumulating the 20 required stamps, get that bag once and for all  , even earn some pocket money along the way  .

 One

There is an ongoing Line application  / Spend and Win 9 Vespa's ( yes NINE Vespa motorcycles ) competition . Each MYR 20 you spend ( which MUST include one Guardian brand ) gives you another shot at the finals .
Spend that much , to buy this bag and maybe get a bike ? Not bad huh ?
Remember to keep your purchase receipts in MYR 20s with one Guardian brand and send it in via Line .

Two

The existence of private buyers who want the bags but seek the shortest cut towards acquiring the bags . That's a whole trading platform out there for ya . You can trade off to offset your capital or earn some pocket money , yes ?
Just try not to overprice yourself . Unless of course all of a sudden demand outpaces the supply .

Three

Double stamp days .
Some customers will wait for double stamp days to fastrack and reduce the amount of money spent by half .
Means you spend MYR 329 as opposed to the initial MYR 529 .
Much more sensible  .

Four

Ask other customers who do not want their stamps .
Worked for me !
All in it cost me around MYR 170 of my own cold hard cash because I did purchase some items on my own ( that's inclusive of the price of the overnight bag )

Five

This bag is hot stuff !
As I just only obtained this bag today , it was only today that I realised how in demand it was . Some major outlets have been out of stock for a week !
Economy is going south ? Hah !

I am not selling mine , but others do trade offs , via online portals .... and you could either take this tip, as an income generating opportunity to tide you through with extra pocket money or win yourself a nice Vespa at the end of it .

Validity period :
The Line/Vespa contest ends on the 29th February while the bag redemption ends on the 14th of March .
You still have time to make this folks .

Note :
Not sure if the luggage bag is allowed onboard as a handcarry on Air Asia , but other airlines will probably accept  it

Location :
Malaysia
