It is now 2016 , but only now have these recipe books made their appearance in my area .
When this happens , I sometimes wonder what the end retailers are up to . Why they hide these free gifts with purchase so long and only take them out loooooong after the promo period is over .
Baffling .
Anyway , there is a reason why I am featuring these 2015 books in 2016 .They are worth pursuing for the recipes themselves , the easy feel , overall layout , nice anecdotes and pictures included .
The 3 part series is first kicked off by Chef Rohani Jelani , followed by Chef Ismail and last of all Chef Florence .
Two of the books are 26 pages long , another contains 24 . Each of the 3 books contains 12 recipes and I am bookmarking the following :
Chef Rohani Jelani - Roasted Portabello and Vegetable Wraps , Middle Eastern Lamb & Egg Wedges , Black Pepper Beef Cones and a very interesting take on the humble Curry Puff .
Just cannot stop admiring the gorgeous porcelainware and tiffins featured on Chef Florence's book .
Would like to try and make the Dried Prawn Sambal with Mission Chips , Spicy Otak Roll and Pandan Sri Kaya .
Coming to Chef Ismail's omg....
he uses all the ingredients that make me water. I counted 8 recipes I wanna try . You MUST get this book .
I find his to be the most tempting of the 3 . Maybe it's because I love very spicy foods and his food pictures look so mouthwatering hot , I just wanna rip the pages out and eat them !
