There is simply no life worth living without the esteemed presence of divine durians on this earth .
Yup , we waited a week or so before diving here for our first fix in a loooongg time .
And we were not alone .
There was a couple from Indonesia as well as this lady with husband in tow , whom I presume are from Hong Kong .
Both couples are connoisseurs in search of certain particular species .
The Indonesian Chinese couple wanted one with a more bitter aftertaste while this lady was a little disappointed in not being able to enjoy one with a turmeric tinge .
Aisey man .....ladies .

Go ahead and debate all you want but excuse me while I dig into this heavenly , heavenly morsel .
Mmmm....one with a thin yet firm membrane that breaks with such a delightful texture to it and is slightly dry and sticky , all you can see is the whites of my eyes .
Yums . Yes folks , it's on .
Just make sure you don't arrive too late or the sellers will give you substitutes from other states .

Tip : in case you want to enjoy durians from other states , my favourites are hill durians from Perak , the Musang King from Pahang as well as one species from a private farm in Johor that is not for sale to the public hehe
