Like russian roulette

Before the week was out , I came across 2 accidents involving Honda cars .

One on the bridge ( 3 car pile up pictured below ) , the other ...a 4 wheel ( not a scratch on the 4wd ) on Gurney Drive .

In both cases , I think the engines were affected .

Although the cars were probably going to be out of action for sometime , some would consider the drivers to be lucky .

Why ?

On Sunday , news portals in this country  reported a fatality , due to a ruptured airbag involving the same make of car .

The shocking part is that the collision was considered minor yet because of the airbag , the lady driver died as a result .

Her 2 kids lost their mom yesterday .

Outrage ensued on the social network and someone even remarked that driving this car around now is like playing a game of Russian Roulette . One could die if one did not get the airbag replaced .

Not to say that all owners were ignorant of the recall , however , the waiting list is around 2 months long and there are many unforseen hindrances towards getting the deed done . Some people complained that they had to fix another date for another airbag , while second hand owners moaned that they would not receive an all important letter for the recall . 

So folks , this is near impossible , but if you own a Honda that is still waiting to be refitted with a replacement airbag system , you simply cannot get involved in any accident .

Please drive safe , don't tailgate and try not to beat the lights especially if you drive this vehicle brand around .

Yeah , sounds ridiculous eh , but that is the best you can do for now until the local dealer steps up their effort .
