TMNT2 - a few NYC movie locations

When we watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Out of the Shadows last night I gasped in disbelief !

Already knew that NYC would feature heavily in the flick , but I least expected the movie to be mostly filmed right smack in the area , where I treaded up and down  daily during my short sojourn there .
Felt like I'd hit the jackpot !!!

In case you're wondering why we're seeing it first in Malaysia , simple , doing so beats piracy to a certain extent .

Here are the iconic locations I recognised so far .

1. Chrysler Building

Of all the towers  , I found that although dwarfed , The Chrysler stood out most and woah what an epic rush of a background it proved to be indeed !
Hope you notice the all important manhole in the foreground .

                     2. Corner of Bryant Park ( opposite Starbucks )

When it came to the scene where that ( cool tomcat , hockey stick wielding ) Casey Jones ( Stephen Amell ) got down from the vehicle at the corner of the street after smashing up a bar while looking for Bebop ( he's so funny, I love him ! ) and Rocksteady ( Sheamus ) , I almost let out a scream ! I passed by this corner of Bryant Park ( my favourite stop by place ) where the little stall is on a daily basis .

There was an eventual foot chase / running scene down here too !

3. Grand Central Terminal .

If I recall correctly , Baxter crossed the road here .

Inside is where April makes her super sexy entrance as an adulating nerd / geek one minute and Britney schoolgirl next .

4. Times Square Police Beat

Where the barricades are.
Unbelievable !

There's a scene where she reports live and you'll see diners in the background

5. Brooklyn Bridge

Didn't venture here but hey , you might wanna include this in your itenary

Watch the movie to spot more places.
Hint : the Natural History Museum
Better still , fly there and live the set experience for yourself
Just make sure you pick a pad ;)
