In Finding Dory , Marlin the clownfish said to Dory that blue tang fish , that " we travel so we NEVER have to travel again " .
I laughed so loud because to me that is absolutely not true . After I travel , I sometimes want to relive the moment in a cheaper way that doesn't require sitting till my butt is pointed on the airplane .
Thus we find ourselves at the lobby of Best Western , not knowing if we are making the right choice but if we go by what I experienced on the more than a week long US sojourn , I think our rooms could be better than the rather spartan looking lobby , lounge and dining space .
Not only was the lobby , dining room and lounge , kinda no frills , omg , will you look at the Business Centre ?
Unbelievable . Even some internet cafes look more plush than this .
Still shaking my head over this .
On the other end of the scope ,is the guest room experience .
More awesome than the first impression at the reception lets on . In some other hotels , the lobby is darned grand and plush but when you get to the room , it is an absolute dump .
To weary travellers , this is going to be your nest , your blissful temporary pad which makes you want to redecorate just so your home is recreated into this simple yet cozy , elegant and beautifully inspiring corner .
Honestly , we did not want to get out of the door .
Though small , I just loooove the colour scheme and am actually marvelling away at how they fit everything the way they do .
Safe , mini fridge , hangers inside .
No iron or ironing board but there's a coin laundromat round the block .
Toilet .
There is a card that states that if you need certain toilettries not found on the counter , you may dial a number and get it from housekeeping.
However , when we asked for a shaving and sewing kit , they could not fulfill our request .

Very good hot water and if you want to know why I am raving about the hotel hair conditioners while I was in the USA , use those supplied here . It works just as well by melting straight into your dry hair , giving it a lustre no supermarket or German shampoo can replicate .
I'm serious .
Tv has more entertainment channel options and little surprises like trending internet videos etc .
Won't tell you more , you need to use the remote and view it .
Unlike the US , you won't get billed for using the tv unless you specifically click on the 24 hour blockbuster movie channel which costs MYR 9.90 only .
Before the sun went down , we made a quick dash to the rooftop ( though we would have liked to sleep longer ) because this is another thing I occasionally like to check out .
That's the pool.
Small but I got turned off from swimming because one lady went in with her t-shirt ( gross ! ) and although she scrambled out soon as I took my camera out , I certainly was not going in after seeing that .

Not as boxed in or as overwhelming as KL .
You can still see some flat open spaces here .
For those who want to stay here , the hotel lobby is on the 6th floor , with an LRT station a walkable distance away .
There are quite a few dining pubs and watering holes in the area , a 24 hour myNews.com convenience store downstairs , some shopping and dining options about 5 minutes walk across the street at Jaya 33 plus a 2 storey Mc Donald's and an IT store and supermarts nearby .
Why would I stay here again ?
Not so jammed , free parking , easy access during weekends , most of all ....simply because it's Best Western guest room which is way better than the lobby lets on .
What else is different from the US : ask for a non smoking floor if you don't smoke
