Durians bad enough to warrant a kill

Penangites are super proud of the local hill grown durians . But with the proliferation of conmen , crook sellers growing by the numbers each day , it was just a matter of time before someone got mad enough to actually go and attack one of these " nga nga chat chat " cheat sellers .
Happened in Machang Bubok on the mainland . Seller took a knife to the chest and died .

I can let you know that even we got cheated 3 weeks or so ago , at our regular haunt by a 'replacement ' trader who was probably a local thug jostling for the lucrative tourist dollar , since tourists are most times innocent and know next to nothing about durians .

What we got , didn't only smell like a pile of rotten vegetables , he dared charge us a bomb for it .

Dear Sellers , we locals are not like the tourists .
We take our durians damn seriously and while you might be forgiven for serving inferior , tasteless , chemical dipped , durians plucked from the trees ( a big no no ) , to dare sell us bad durians with a princely price tag , is to invite the reaper to pay you a visit at your doorstep .

So thanks to all the busloads of tourists , I will now keep my new durian place TOP SECRET .

Because we can still get a great fruit for just RM 15 . That's just one part of the booty above . The fruit was huge and the taste was a miraculous jackpot  . That's how risky durian buying has gotten in Georgetown .

Other sellers charge a minimum of RM 25 to I heard as high as RM 180 per fruit , depending on the species you want .

Good luck in finding good durians in Penang these days . There is close to none as some have decided to become millionaire exporters and we are left with the worst meant for the rubbish heap . Those people ought to be hung upside down in their farms and left to rot .

Search for the crime pics on facebook . Not going to post that in here either .
