Leonardo Hotel Weimar - beautiful recurring themes

I like Weimar because there were a lot of people whom I met on the streets that were pretty curious about me ( I guess they'd never seen anything like me before lolz some kept glancing , others smiled back , some tried to get me to dance at the open bar ) and thus if I were to stay longer , I would surely get to know some locals .

So anyway , this is where we stayed , at the Leonardo Hotel whereupon entering , you will find that the focal point of the lobby area will be the beautiful sweeping staircase .

And since it is Christmas , decorative golden baubles can be found from the ceiling to the bottom

Red also seems to be a recurring theme .

But I know I'll never tire of just admiring the stairs . I love it .

That's the reception .
Makes me wonder who the decorator is . So department store coordinated chiq .

If I'm not wrong there's a huge chair , even bigger than this in KLIA 2 .
However , the way it has been arranged is so tastefully done .

Ever seen a reception desk done up this way ?
They even had red sweets in a jar but unfortunately I did not get that in the picture as there was a super haughty Japanese guest in front of me .

Never come across one in my entire life but I did so with this One Single Family during my stay and they not only cut queues , they also wore a permanent scowl , kept to themselves , which makes me wonder why they even bothered to go on a holiday in the first place .
Weird .
Look , if you're going to be afraid of everyone around you , it is best you stay at home .

Back to the red theme .
With these many baubles , it is so easy to get it all wrong . Then again the display artist is a gem and
tadaaa , if this isn't magical brilliance , hey I don't know what is .
Beeeeeaautifulllll !!!!

While we've got some impressive hotels in Asia , so far this is the most impressive to me in the whole of Germany .
I haven't got to Pullman Dresden yet . That's even better . Cover that later .

Last time I was on tour here , we went with a local Malaysian company and meandered along the Rhine , castles , cuckoo factories , Munich , Blackforest , basically upper west Germany . The experience left me in a daze till I can hardly remember whatever in the frecking heck happened , where we stayed , what I did . In short it was horrible because all the tour guide wanted to do was take us into lousy shopping outlets so he would earn a commission .

But so far , this tour being a premium tour , has been all good . You just need to adhere to the timing ( if you're late they will ask you to take a cab and meet up in the next town hotel ) , enjoy local cuisine , walk a bit and dress up a bit if there is a dinner involved because hey , it's a fun thing to do .

When I'm daydreaming I tend to babble and if I like one place , I also tend to go on and on . Zzzzz.
Let's go up to our room now shall we ?

Honestly , I was expecting more .
Yes it is a bit oldish too .

Hopefully , the hotel will slowly match the grandeur downstairs with the rooms itself

Whatever it is , at least there is a kettle provided . A good selection of luxury teas were included , together with coffee and instant cocoa ( soooo gooood !!!! ) .

Old ...

Lighting could be improved you know ?

Now these were exceptional .
Smelled wonderful they did .
The Sebamed face wash not only did I good job , it made me smell like cocoa butter mmmm mmmm . Nice !

Bathtub looks creepy but it managed to soak me all in so I truly enjoyed that . One of the biggest , deepest bathtubs I have used so far .

We had a buffet dinner included . This is what the outside of the rooms look like .

See how wonderful even the waiting area in the lobby is ?
Time to do some room reno to match your downstairs dear boss of Leonardo . Your hotel would be perfect then .

Next morning , we woke up early to have a slow breakfast while some of them walked to the townsquare , while I and another lady decided to inspect the surrounds .

That was when I noticed the sleeping buddha by the revolving doors .

Nice touch !

Well , we walked through a track and found a smattering of people out on their morning run . And then I came across a Nazi sticker on a lampost and that's when we decided to head back gosh .

Here's what the keycard looks like .
Yet another recurring theme .

Would I stay here on my own ? Maybe .
Who would love this place ? Shoppers , cultural exchange enthusiasts , cross country runners . There's a whole running path cut out for you . Just make sure you wear adequate running gear meant for winter .

Location : Weimar , Germany
