Pullman Dresden Newa

There were two more cities ( including Dresden ) left for us to cover on the tour and while each city turned out to be even better than the next , I really couldn't say the same about the hotel rooms assigned to us .
Some had grand lobbies , impressive dining services , others resembled motels most times . With
nothing exciting to look forward to , thus oldish , functional , working , with a good heater as well as hot water , was most important , what we had to make do with .

And then we came to Dresden . Several of us were assigned a special Christmas project so I thought that when I went up , I wouldn't be involved . Awww too bad eh ?
However , as I was oohing and aahing in delight at the room , I got a call from the reception requesting that I draw the shades for the Christmas light up project .

It made me rush the heck out from the room and run out onto the street just to see what was happening .
And there it was . You had to stand from a distance to see the illuminated candles . Simple yet pretty don't you think ?

Back to the room .
Actually managed to hurriedly snap some pics before the call came for me to close the curtains .

We were on the 12th floor and the view was out of this world !
The entire Christmas market and shopping street was stretched out before us !

Happy ?
Extremely !!!

Already prepared to see the bathroom this way . But I thought it wasn't so bad . In fact I marvelled at how they put together and maximised space in such a stylish well thought out manner that if you have a studio pad , you might want to consider ideas from here .
Quite brilliant !

Looks almost like an engineering feat .
The bathroom flooring did not feel like it had a depression and yet water never spilled out but flowed into the square opening . Very nicely constructed if I may say so .

Dresser

With everything provided .
Each German hotel we went to was the same actually , just that Pullman Dresden Newa looks more modern and swankier than those we stayed in prior to this .

Loved these . Smelt like an aromatherapy range . Guess there must be a spa downstairs but because I got caught up with shopping for shoes , I never got down to doing that . These would have to do .

Do you love sink in , fluffy pillows and bedspreads ? These were a dream !!!

Mmmm mmmm

Eventually the nagging question would come down to this .
Can the other person see your silhoutte when you're in the bath ?
Not really . Just a slight shadow even when you're in the shower .
Very cool .

Larger sized people might find this a tad difficult to negotiate .
Still I find myself marvelling at the clever use of space .

There was a closet with one padded hanger .

Safe , minibar

Coffee making machine and kettle too

Good selection of tea and coffee flavours . The ones meant for the machine were inside the closed box .

Bathrobes and slippers for both of us .

Lobby is no less cozy . There's a Mc D just opposite but who needs that when the whole Christmas market is waiting for you eh ?

Oh ....and that's a real tree by the way . Yet another nice touch .

Location : Dresden , Germany
