Those who perished were not forgotten . And those who showed up to show their support were not afraid .
There were just so many ways for you to leave a message of condolence or support .
I chose to leave my signature on this board outside the fringes of the Breitscheidplatz .
While this was the last Christmas Market we visited , the stalls remained closed for 2 days
Here's the spot where the incident took place . According to today's news report , the truck will be placed in a museum
That tall structure in the background is the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial church
Whoever came ,not only lit candles and left flowers , they also left behind some heartfelt messages .....
....of hope , support , defiance , unity ...
most were in German , some in foreign languages
Strangers hugged . Love prevailed .
Just across the street were another 2 makeshift memorials .
This was the message that touched me the most
" We Are All Berliners "
At the second memorial , one man sang songs while strumming a guitar
When I cut to the back of the church , I found certain shop windows lined up with candles
H & M 's
Last mini site we stopped by before heading back to the hotel .
Yes we were on foot and not afraid in the least . Have a little faith in each other folks .Even when some misfits give you reason to not do so .
