Loke Sok Seafood,Public Cafe - Gurney Drive ( NH )

This restaurant is located along the famous Gurney Drive .

I have to mention that they are rather inconsistent and it can be quite frustrating as your favourites dishes today may be completely different next week or even non existent at all.
Yet,I always harbour a glimmer of hope, that perhaps on that day,the one dish that I want, WILL finally be on the menu.

As an example,I've never been able to try their stir fried siew yoke with chives flowers till today and only managed to enjoy their pak cham keh once.

We arrived with the intention to have white oyster mee.

No stock.Sigh.

Thus,we ended up ordering rice to go with garlic prawns, deep fried tofu with brinjals and steamed cabbage.

These divine bareback prawns, that are heavily infused with a heavenly garlicky sauce, make you wish you could lick the plate clean.
Dig into the heads and you will find a little roe as an added bonus.

Steamed luxurious cabbage with dried osyter, chicken, wine and shitake mushroom.
Didn't enjoy this cos it smelt too fishy for my liking but the others at my table tucked in wholeheartedly to the end.

Hard not to fight over this dish of juicy bits of brinjals with minced pork, dried prawns and steaming hot, softest custard like tofu.Yumm....
