Thing with 2 eyes at Liva Seafood Restaurant ( NH ) - Weld Quay

There's a first time for everything, even in familiar places.

Today I was inducted into the art of eating a whole miniature squid .

Eyes,insides,tentacles,head,skin,everything in one brave,squishy gulp !

It started off innocently enough. An order for seafood curry was sent out to the kitchen.
What they cook up here displays a distinct Indian influence tempered with hints of tamarind.
The ladies fingers are crunchy and perfect.

A fiery casserole of fish meat, squid, brown soaked sotong, peeled prawns and tomatoes topped off with a sprig of mint to knock you off your soles.

All was going so well, until this 'thing' crept up my spoon.

Aargh !!! OMG.....how to eat ?

"Bite,chew then swallow" he said.

Took a deep breathe and then....hey,it wasn't that bad,in fact it had absorbed all the spices in its cavity and was actually delicious,

now....if only could see past the eyes and fat icky spotted body.

Gaaaa.....I temporarily retired to the much safer confines
of Brussel Sprouts !!
sprinkled with tiny pounded pieces of dried shrimp

Because, who would have guessed that there was soon going to be another pair of eyes on the table.

There ...staring right back at me from the plate of fresh Butter Prawns nestled in deep fried beaten eggs and bay leaves.

Don't get me wrong. The prawns were excellent .

Plus I'm a regular here.

The seafood curry is a must have on every visit.Same too for the Butter Prawns.

Just wasn't my day that's all.
In the end,I did managed to bite a grand total of 3 out of the 10 that were doing the breaststroke in the claypot.
